</div><div>📜TEXT:PSALM 19:7-14📜</div><div>Psalms 19:7-14 (KJV) </div><div>7. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.</div><div>8. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.</div><div>9. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.</div><div>10. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.</div><div>11. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.</div><div>12. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.</div><div>13. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.</div><div>14. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.</div><div>

Grant, the 18th President of the United States said this about the Bible: “My advice to Sunday Schools, no matter the denomination, is hold fast to the Bible as the sheet-anchor of your liberties, write its precepts in your hearts and practise them in your lives. To the influence of this book we are indebted for all the progress made in true civilization, and to this we must look as our guide in the future.”</div><div>
</div><div>The text under consideration is a testimony to the power of the Scriptures. It is described as the law, testimony, statutes, commandments, the fear and judgments of the Lord. The Bible has the power to convert the soul and make wise the simple. Other qualities listed in the passage is the enlightenment it brings and the fact that it is righteous altogether. It endures forever and keeps us back from presumptuous sins. We are commanded not only to read, but also to meditate on it and carry out all the instructions found therein.</div><div>
</div><div>The Bible remains an all-time best-seller. Its amazing influence cuts across ages. It is the only book that can convict and convert a sinner. No book has managed to remain as fresh as the Bible. Books are updated from time to time to keep them relevant. But the Bible is unique in value. It has survived so many threats and predictions of extinction. Emperors and kings of old had gone out of their ways to ensure the complete destruction of the Bible at various centuries, but the Bible stands, undaunted through the raging storms of life.</div><div>
</div><div>The Bible has brought about the transformation of lives. It has changed so many destinies. Thus, we must celebrate the power of the Word as we strive to give it wider circulation.</div><div>

</div><div>📜THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:` *LUKE 7-8*📜</div><div><br></div><div> *MEDITATION*</div><div><br></div><div>*The multidimensional influence of the word of God*</div><div><br></div><div>*1. The perfect word*</div><div>a. There are 6 different names given to the word of God in vv7-9. What are they?</div><div>b. Those names reveal different shades of the word of God. What is the meaning of each name to believers?</div><div>*Note* “Laws” are to be obeyed and disobedience will always attract punishment; “testimonies” are declarations of the personality and acts of God”; “statutes” are rules to be followed while “judgements” deals with divine legal pronouncements in line with the justice nature of God.</div><div><br></div><div>*2. The power of the word*</div><div>a. Each side of the word has an important work it does to the human soul. What are some of those words or manifestations in the heart of man?, vv7-9.</div><div>b. For genuine born again and lively believers, there is always a continuous thirst and desire for the word of God like a normal and healthy person enjoys sweet things, v10.</div><div>c. Obviously there are great rewards attached to reading, study, meditation, faith and obedience to the word of God, v11.</div><div>d. Anybody that does not have the manifestations of the power of the Word of God in his/her is either not born again or not walking in the Spirit.</div><div><br></div><div>*Questions*</div><div>a. Does the word of God produce those things in the text in your life?</div><div>b. Do you enjoy hearing, reading and meditating on the word or it is always dry and uninteresting to you?🤔</div><div><br></div><div>*3. The prayers by the word*</div><div>a. The word of God produces and inspires prayer points for believers, v12.</div><div>b. It reveals and convicts the humble of the errors, in their lives and characters, that should be corrected and prayed on, v12.</div><div>c. Check other prayer points in the text, especially vv12-14.</div><div><br></div><div>*Prayer points*</div><div>Ask God for more hunger and desire for the truth of the word of God🙏</div><div>Pray for more grace and discipline needed to personally separate time for its study regularly 🙏</div><div>Ask for more of Holy Spirit of revelation and understanding for quickening the word in your heart🙏</div><div>Itemise the prayer points in vv12-14 and pray on each item🙏</div><div><br></div><div>*HYMN* Open my eyes that I may see</div> -
