</div><div>[7]O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:</div><div>
</div><div>[8]The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.</div><div>
</div><div>[9]Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.</div><div>
</div><div>[10]Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.</div><div>
</div><div>[11]The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.</div><div>

</div><div> _”Merrill’s Marauders”_ was a long range penetration special operations jungle warfare unit of 2,750 men of the United States Army under the command of Brigadier General Frank D. Merrill (1903-1955). Their assignment was to operate behind enemy lines. In April 1944, a spectacular forced march over rugged terrain was successfully accomplished over a 20-day period by _Merrill’s Marauders_ to capture a former British airfield held by the Japanese in northern Burma. Their attack caught the Japanese completely by surprise as the airfield was captured with a slight resistance that lasted only 50 minutes. While that exploit may appear phenomenal, God has a bigger surprise from men and women anointed by God for end-time battle for souls.</div><div>
</div><div>The psalmist praised God for helping the children of Israel through the wilderness journey. When God brought them out of their chains, He did not leave them in the dry land, but went before them in a march through the wilderness. God also manifested His glorious presence with them at Mount Sinai and provided for them both in the wilderness and in Canaan. He noted further that God gave them victory over their enemies. He was their Commander in Chief who gave the Word. He raised up judges for them, gave them commissions and instructions, and assured them of success.</div><div>
</div><div>As believers, we must see God as our Guide and Commander in Chief. Just as Israel of old had prophets who made God’s mind known, we have the Scriptures to guide and lead us in the perfect will of God. As the enemies of God were defeated, so will He give us victory as we follow His leading.</div><div>

</div><div>*Evidence of divine presence*</div><div>
</div><div>How do you know that there is invisible presence of God in a place (nation, church, family and individuals). </div><div>
</div><div>*1. In the wilderness*</div><div>a. Most Israelites did not physically see God in the wilderness, but in reality He was with them marching and walking with them in the wilderness, v7.</div><div>b. God always go with His entourage. Hence, His hosts of angels were with Him in the wilderness too. “My presence shall go with thee and I will give you rest”, Exodus 33:14.</div><div>c. Supernatural manifestations also attest to His presence, vv8-10.</div><div>d. Furthermore, a clear supernatural provision, presence and protection of God always attest to God’s presence.</div><div>

</div><div>*2. In the christian walk*</div><div>a. God has not changed and will never change, Pslam 102:27.</div><div>b. For His saints, His name is _Immanuel_ which means “God be with us”. For the evangelising saints, He assured, “Behold I am with you ALWAYS even to the end of the earth”.</div><div>c. If there is no exhibition or experience of the supernatual in your heart, life, family, church, community or nation, then there is need to look inward and call upon God.</div><div>d. For those living by faith and in holiness, and are also spirtually sensitive, the presence of God is felt in every situation and circumstances of life.</div><div>e. The presence of God is not just about us but inside us as NT saints in the person of the Holy Spirit. Do you have this continuous assurance of sonship? Romans 8:16.</div><div>

</div><div>*Prayer points*</div><div>God I want more of the manifestations of your presence in my life and family🙏</div><div>Lord, open my eyes to things that grieve the Holy Spirit in my life and family and help me to get rid of them🙏</div><div>We want more of your presence in our churches. We ask that you visit us in your mighty power🙏</div><div>Purge us all from all things that makes your presence not real enough and restore those that have lost your Spirit🙏</div><div>
