</div><div>MESSAGE</div><div>One thing every elect must always watch out for is finishing an assignment well. Every person in this earth is encumbered by many assignments. Some are divine necessities and others human. We have family obligations, neighbourhood careers, communities, states and nationals. We have personal obligations which are triggered off by one’s own volition. All these are platforms for</div><div>impacting our world. Paul counseled the Ephesians to always do everything but above doing their tasks, finishing strong is the ultimate (Eph. 6:13).</div><div>
</div><div>We are appalled nowadays by the degree of “super-stars” crashing tendencies among the Christian landscape. How are the mighties falling?</div><div>
</div><div>King David provides evergreen example of men who finished strong from the text of the day. He personally performed the inauguration protocols of his son’s ascension. He was not infallible but made litany of blunders. However, he had a heart that yearned for finishing strong. He was courageous and placed great value on ending well. Many times, he failed; he never remained on the ground. He picked the pieces of his life and moved on. One needs to always remember that God is not carrying a whistle to blow on people at his convenient that it is over. It is never over with God until we say so. God is infinitely patient with us. It is not the beginning of a thing that matters but the ending. Some leave office booted out while others are disgraced as they digress. God is not wicked to forget your labour in Him. One sure word we should hold to heart is, if you honour God both in the open and in secret, God will not fail to honour you as he did in David’s account. When you manipulate people and situations to take advantage of them selfishly, God cannot be mocked. David handed over the mantle in his life time and the people rejoiced, honoured and celebrated his son.
