</div><div>MESSAGE</div><div>God created everything for a purpose, in other words, to meet a need. Nothing is created for the fun of creating. Just as every asset a man acquires, has a reason behind it, as liabilities are depleted to make room for assets. What do you do for God and humanity? Every man’s worth is determined by his services to God, family and humanity. Any person whose sole concern is just himself has lost his existential purpose on this earth because the earth is a communal or societal entity and not a solitary universe, (Luke 12:20). “Power is the ability to fulfill purpose, action which defeats purpose is weakness”; Martin Luther King Jnr.</div><div>
</div><div>There are many trees in the forest that are very useful to humanity because their trunk could be used for timber, chairs, boxes and panel for houses, lorries, etc. some trees’ leaves could be used for medicine, mats, vegetable, etc. From our text, we are contrasting the vine stem that is only good for bon fire with the other parts of the trees that are altogether useful. This is God’s perception on lsrael when they sin; they become useless in God’s hand as He has no use for a defiled vessel. Do you know that sacrifices and services are useless to God and unacceptable when his own falls into sin? They become good for nothing. Some elects are needed just for a single thing and when the service unit is not satisfactory, it turns to pollution agent. They are like the vine in the text, good only for combustion or material for fire.</div><div>
</div><div>Scripturally, anybody that is not good for anything but for combustion is not a virtue. It is hell-fire that only burning is its only business, it does not refine or improve. God gave the vine tree for combustion and told the sinful nation that even if they run away from fire in Israel to any place for escape, that His fire will locate them. If you have fallen in your relationship with the Most High, just reconcile with him where you are. Running to USA, Asia, Europe or Australia is no solution. Your only security is in Christ. There is no salvation in any other, the only sure ground is Christ. How faithful are you to God who sacrificed His best for you? How useful are you? A source of joy or pain?
