On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, Vice Chancellor Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye led the Igbinedion University Management Retreat, which included the Provost, Deans, Directors, and Department Heads. The retreat focused on academic excellence and strategic planning. Key discussions included leveraging technology, interdisciplinary knowledge, mentorship, revenue generation, and global collaborations. Policies on data protection, intellectual property, and academic integrity were highlighted, alongside initiatives like mentorship programmes and staff welfare policies. The retreat aimed to foster decision-making within the university community, emphasising reflection, strategizing, and team building for academic advancement and institutional growth.
