MAXIMIZING NON-COMBAT STRATEGIES IN MILITARY OPERATIONS: IGBINEDION UNIVERSITY SETS THE STAGE

A one-day conference at Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, on February 19, 2025, will focus on maximising non-combative strategies in military operations by the Nigerian Army. The Buratai Centre for Contemporary Security Affairs will host the event, which will be chaired by Vice Chancellor, Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, Ph.D., FAS.
Retired Major General Manu Yusuf, former General Officer Commanding, 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, will deliver a lecture titled “Optimising Non-Kinetic Efforts in the Nigerian Army’s Approach to Military Operations.”
The conference will bring together academics, military personnel, security agents, and the general public.
As part of its mandate, the Buratai Centre for Contemporary Security Affairs interrogates security challenges at both the local and global levels. This conference is a significant step in that direction, promoting dialogue and exploration of non-kinetic approaches to military operations.
