</div><div>TODAY’S TEXT</div><div>Ephesians 1:8–22</div><div>
</div><div>MESSAGE</div><div>From the early Christians testimonies and the unparalleled treaties of</div><div>grace by Apostle Paul, it is well established that grace is the reason for God’s love upon the fallen humanity. Grace constrained Christ to venture out to Calvary and grafted us as beneficiaries into the commonwealth of Christ. It is succinctly captured in Hannah’s Adoration, “He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and have them inherit a throne of honour”. As a Christian, nothing lifts one up more than trusting in God’s grace. Many work and walk their ways to the top of the ladder but grace lifts one far above the top of the ladder. It was grace that singled out a man and his family to survive the flood and annihilated the rest of the world. The scripture states that Noah found</div><div>favour before the Lord. Any person who has relationship with Christ will always find favour before the Almighty. In our golden verse, when Apostle Paul was championing the message of grace, he was amply criticized not only by those who were following Mosaic laws but also by those who believed on Christ and</div><div>felt removing the tradition and practices of the Mosaic laws was going out too far.</div><div>
</div><div>The author of Hebrews went in great details to present the superiority of Christ over Moses, his sacrifice over the levitical rituals, his priesthood over the Aaronic. Today, many are still laboring on their own righteousness, totally</div><div>ignorant of the grace of Christ. They lock down on others with unpardonable arrogance because of their dressing code, hair styles, dietary preferences and holy days. Many church going persons know nothing about grace, they only</div><div>hold on to the old order of “doing good” and if they have pass mark, it will earn them a place in paradise. Paul counseled Titus to note that the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, empowering us to reject</div><div>godlessness and live in sobriety in the present age. If the fact of this admonition is well taken, the limitation for righteousness living is removed because grace is the empowering factor. Peter added that grace, peace and divine power are secured by increase of our knowledge of our Lord Jesus and if we are diligent to make our calling and election secured, we will not stumble into sin. God’s grace is always available to them that enlist for the sustenance of grace in their lives.
