  • COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING GETS NUC FULL ACCREDITATION FOR MECHANICAL & PETROLEUM EN

    The Mechanical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering programmes in the Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar College of Engineering, Igbinedion University, Okada has received full accreditation status from the National University Commission (NUC).

    This was contained in a letter dated 2<sup>nd</sup> August by the Nigeria University Commission (NUC) to the University Management containing the outcome of the Commission’s visits to the University in the first quarter of the year.

    During the accreditation exercise, two (2) undergraduate programmes were visited in the Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar College of Engineering while four (4) undergraduate programmes were visited in the Oba Okunade Sijuade College of Health Sciences and three (3) MSc programmes in the Sanusi Lamido Sanusi College of Business Administration.

    According to the National Universities Commission (NUC), all the nine (9) programmes visited got full accreditation status. By implication, all the 49 programmes of the University have full accreditation status by the NUC and relevant professional bodies.

    The University Management has therefore commended all staff and stakeholders on these magnificent accomplishments which it described as a further demonstration of the University’s commitment to academic excellence.The Mechanical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering programmes in the Gen.
